The Fairbairn Sykes (F-S) fighting knife was made famous during World War II when issued to British Commandos, the Airborne Forces, the Special Air Service SAS and many other units. Brief History.
The Fairbairn Sykes was introduced to the commandos, also known as the British Commandos. They were formed during the WW 2 in June 1940, following a request from Winston Churchill.
